Project 2024 | a proposal to save American democracy

With all of the things that the Republicans have put into motion with their Project 2025 proposal, there is an immediate need for a Democratic response. Left to their own plans the Republicans will take complete control of our government as soon as they get one of their people into the Whitehouse. Even if the Democrats win in 2024, there is still a need to make some drastic changes to our system of governance.

The problem with the new Supreme Court ruling that a President has complete immunity from any criminal prosecution is completely Ludacris. Technically, at this point in time, America is not a democracy. With the newfound power of the presidency, we are really a dictatorship. The Republicans are counting on the fact that Joe Biden is a “law & order” kind of president and will not abuse his powers. But that is exactly what he needs to do, and quickly.

The really serious problem we have is this. Most Democratic presidents will keep playing by the rules set up by our constitution. They would never be a dictator. But the first Republican that gets into office will not follow these rules. As soon as a Republican gets to the presidency, they will unleash their “project” & our country will be forever changed. We will lose ALL control of the government at every level. The Constitution will become irrelevant & we will never regain control of this country.

What I’m saying is not hyperbole or fear mongering, it is not speculation or me spreading a conspiracy theory, it is a fact. The Project 2025 document spells out the complete plan of attack & if you haven’t read it I urge you to do so.

So, how do we counter this? Good question & I will say that I don’t have all of the answers to this. I do have some thoughts & ideas on what needs to be done. Now! In 2024.

First, the President of the United States Joseph Robinette Biden needs to stop playing whatever game he is playing & start playing the game that the conservatives are. Democrats are playing checkers & the republicans are blowing up the checkerboards with bazookas. We need Dark Brandon for this one, but it needs to be a badass mutant Dark Brandon.

Here are the steps I might take if I were the current president.

1. Arrest ALL of the people who are currently or have worked on Project 2025.
2. Arrest ALL of the news media personalities who have been complicit in any disinformation of the true purpose of Project 2025. 
3. Declare that the Supreme Court is corrupt & invalid. Then he needs to appoint a new one. Also, some hard rules need to be set up for the court system in general.
4. Arrest all of the corrupt justices in EVERY federal court.
5. The Constitution of the United Stated needs some serious updating. There have been too many societal changes for it to be a useful document in it’s current form. I don’t know what the changes might be, but there are a lot of smart people who could figure that out.
6. The power of presidential pardons needs to be drastically reworked. A president should not be able to simply pardon people at will. That leaves too much room for corruption.
7. Lastly, after all of these changes are made & we have a much better grasp on our democracy, the president should remove his total immunity powers & return the power of the governance back to the people.

It would also be a great idea to get rid of the electoral college & the filibuster, for good measure.
