Okay, so I’m 15 minutes into NBC’s LaBrea TV show & I have LOTS of questions. Spoilers, but who really cares.

So, a bunch of people fall through a big hole created by some sort of dimensional rift type thing & touch down on the other side in some sort of “Land of the Lost” type place. First off there is no way they would have dropped out of that rift, which is several miles in the sky, & they land without any serious damage. That is not how gravity works. Secondly there is not enough rubble around, I mean a huge chunk of Los Angeles fell through with them. That is not how rubble works. One guy is already trying to commit suicide. That is not how despair works. Also, the people just outran a huge wolf. That is not how nature works.

Beyond that there is a lot of strange casual stuff going on; a woman is already hording food, the main woman lost her wedding ring, two people found a trunk full of heroin, nobody seems to be panicking, they are all pretty casual about the whole thing. The acting is terrible, the sound is too “quiet”, it just feels off. I don’t see this series lasting past the 1st season, although “Lost” was on for a long time & it was stupid as hell. I’m not sure that I will make it past the 1st episode, unless something great happens. Very disappointing.
