‘Abbey road’ was released in 1969, so was ‘Yellow Submarine’ & in 1970 ‘Let It Be’ came out. That is a lot of music in one year.
Abbey Road is Amazing
There are 17 songs on this album & I like all but 2. When this was finished the Beatles had recorded 3 albums in one year. Hats off to those guys, they were a hit song writing machine.
Abbey Road is Amazing – the album cover
The cover fired up a huge conspiracy the Paul McCartney actually died & was replaced with someone that looked like him. Oh yeah, he also wrote songs as well as the original Paul did. Geez, these things are stupid.
Putting the ‘Paul is dead’ garbage there is the fact that this is probably one of the most famous and recognizable album covers ever made. The cover did not include the title or even the “Beatles” name. EMI said that the record would not sell without this. The Beatles creative director John Kosh, who designed the album cover, disagreed and said.
We didn’t need to write the band’s name on the cover, they were the most famous band in the worldKosh
The crossing by the Abbey Road studio has become a popular tourist destination with thousands of people taking photos walking across the road and blocking many annoyed British drivers in the process. Also, the white VW Beetle in the photo has had its license plate stolen numerous times.
Abbey Road is Amazing to me
- Songs I like 1: “Because”
- Songs I love 4: “Come Together”, “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”, “Oh! Darling”, “I Want You”
- Fun to sing along with 1: “Octopus’s Garden”
- Amazing songs 2: “Something”, “Here Comes the Sun”
- Songs that suck: 1 “Her Majesty”
Then there is the medley. Composed of eight songs: “You Never Give Me Your Money”, “Sun King”, “Mean Mr. Mustard”, “Polythene Pam”, “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window”, “Golden Slumbers”, “Carry That Weight”, “The End”
Whether you take this as a whole piece or individually, it is fantastic. It tells the tale of…
Well, I’m not really sure what the story is in here. Probably just random ideas the Beatles came up with.
Any way you look at it Abbey Road is Amazing! It is, in my opinion, the best Beatles record.
